ととろ

Totoro was one of the studio gibbly movies that my mom showed me when I was younger. Admittedly, I have not been super involved in Japanese extra curriculars this semester, so when I saw that they were playing it for language week, I decided to go watch. It was nice to have subtitles, so that I could understand the plot a bit better. I could definitely recognize some more vocab and grammatical patterns since the last time I watched it, which was probably over five years ago. Moreover, it was just a great way to take a break from a super long and busy week with some friends, shout-out Lukeさん.

Apple Music jpop

In an effort to continue to expand my exposure to Japanese music, I decided to listen to Apple Music’s J-pop playlist. The playlist was not bad, but I did not find the same connection to the songs that I have mentioned in past blog posts. I may try the playlist again once they reshuffle it, but for now I do not recommend it.

Mela! By Ryokuoshoku Shakai

This is another Japanese song that I have found with an upbeat vibe thst helps me focus during studying or working out. I am getting better at understanding and recognizing certain words. If anyone else has any good Japanese song recommendations, I would love to hear them.  https://music.apple.com/us/album/mela/1538137544?i=1538137547
