 This week is a grind because finals are approaching, my brother is visiting, and everything else in the semester is coming to a close. I know that I won’t have anytime to watch anime, but my way of staying connected with Japanese media is to listen to my growing Japanese playlist while I do work and study. The playlist is around 20 songs now, which I am happy with because I described in an earlier blog post how I wanted to find more Japanese songs I enjoyed listening to.  This was the second episode of the new anime that I started. It was an episode where Tadano tried to get Komi more friends. However, the new friend became sort of manipulative and mean because she didn’t really want to be Komi’s friend but actually just wanted her to do things for her in exchange for friendship. Overall, this episode was not as good as the first, but it did help me understand some more Japanese.

This weekend I have a tremendous amount of studying, so I don't have time to watch the next episode of the netflix show from my last post. However, this song was another one that I have recently discovered. It is a chill vibe that helps me study. I have added it to my Japanese playlist, which has slowly grown to 17 songs. :) 

 I have been doing a lot of Japanese songs this semester, but I felt that it was time to start expanding my exposure to Japanese media. I went on anime and searched anime, and Komi Cant Communicate was one of the first to come up. The initial plot is between Tadano and Komi, the pretty girl who is mute. They are starting high school, and everyone adores Komi because of her beauty, but she is deathly afraid of opening herself up to others. Someone how Tadano learns that she is mute and communicates to her by writing. They develop an initial bond that is unique because Komi has revealed herself like she hasn't before. I am interested to see where the plot goes.
