 We finally got to see the butler’s pirates fight against Luffy and his crew. Usopp is honestly a 🤡. I try to respect him, but he is also just such a whiny baby. It is honestly comical. At the same time, I feel like I am getting to know Nami, Luffy, and Zoro better as characters because they are becoming more comfortable in the show with one another. For instance, when Nami pushes Zoro down the oil covered slope, he says he’s going to make her pay. Of course, they’re friends, so he wouldn’t hurt her, but it just shows a more playful side of their relationship. Also, I’m simply continuing to recognize more words, which is a great feeling.

 Captain Usopp tried to warn the town about the impending attack, but because he is known for always lying, nobody believed him. Furthermore, Kaya, the girl he obviously is in love with, didn’t believe him either. This reminds me of the fable, the boy who cried wolf, and how important one’s integrity is. However, Usopp showed a slight change of heart when he decided to try and take on pirates by himself. I am glad that the show is becoming more action packed again, but I wish each episode wasn’t so drawn out in the sense that each little interaction is so dramatized. Maybe this is how all animes are, but it makes the show very slow.
