One Piece episode 25

This episode felt a bit like a filler, like back when Luffy and his gang were on the island. Recognizing vocab and grammar structures in new ways is the  biggest area that these episodes are helping me. For instance, I recognized new words in context like ふね and かいぞく, which mean boat and pirate, respectfully. In that regard, it is helping me expand my vocab, which is great.

In this episode, I learned more about the grand line and what makes it so dangerous: you really have no idea what to expect while in pursuit of that treasure because there are guys like hawk eye who can take out an entire 50 ship fleet by himself. The vocab itself was a bit harder to piece out, but I picked up on a lot of forms like ば form and ~ながら. The show is starting to pick up more, so I am excited for the next one. I am also realizing that watching an episode a week is becoming an enjoyable part of my weekend.

This episode was really good, and it is probably the most vocabulary I have understood in an entire episode to this day. Don Krieg, a super powerful pirate shows up and begs for food. Everyone refuses to give him anything, except Sanji, whose sole desire is to feed any hungry person. Unfortunately, this ended poorly for Sanji because Captain Krieg did not follow his promise of leaving after someone gave him food. They cut the episode right before the full fight enfolded, but I am super excited to watch the next one.

This episode was a continuation of the scene at the ocean restaurant baratie. It was a pretty interesting one because they introduced the new pirate group and Sanji, who may become the new chef for Luffy’s crew. I am able to recognize a lot more vocabulary from our recent chapters. Nice way to spend my Sunday evening.
